Our veterans’ group had the incredible opportunity to experience a private tour of the Battleship Iowa during Fleet Week. Our diverse group included veterans from all four branches of the military: Navy, Army, Air Force, and Marines. It was a unique chance for everyone to reconnect with their shared history and enjoy a day of camaraderie.

The tour was both educational and inspiring, giving them a deeper appreciation of the sacrifices made by those who served aboard the historic battleship. Following the tour, they were treated to an authentic Italian meal at Raffaello in San Pedro. The food was delicious, and it was a perfect way to cap off their day.

Our monthly Veterans Wellness Lunch program, spearheaded by Police Officer Jeff Joyce and funded through FLAG (Foundation for Learning, Athletics, & Growth), continues to provide our veteran officers with essential support and camaraderie.
