The LAFC Foundation and The Kellyn Acosta Foundation recently teamed up to support refurbishing Watts’s 109th St. Recreational Park community soccer field through a grant to Nick’s Kids Soccer Program.

This partnership is focused on providing a safe space for children to play while promoting health and wellness through soccer programming in Watts.

LAFC midfielder Kellyn Acosta is thrilled to work with the community and be a positive force for good. The project is expected to be completed by early Summer 2023, and those interested in supporting Nick’s Kids can donate to the fund through The Kellyn Acosta Foundation.

This is the first major initiative for The Kellyn Acosta Foundation, which is focused on raising awareness and funds for disadvantaged or disabled youth through soccer, sportsmanship, education, and experience.

The LAFC Foundation shares this mission of supporting at-risk youth and promoting life skills and resources that will help them succeed off the pitch. Nick’s Kids Soccer is a youth program that aims to create a positive environment for children to grow and thrive.
